Sixth place is now history for the first 7 seasons. And, its time to move on to next week.

Whoever gets booted this coming week joins the following contestants in Idol history as 5^th place finishers. Remember, this article only covers the past year, 2007-2008. If I have omitted anything significant, please comment under the article or email me and I will include it.

Season 1 RJ Helton

On the ‘American Christmas’ cd this past December, RJ was number 8 singing ‘White Christmas’. This cd had 13 songs sung by past idols. Rjheltonmusic.com, RJ’s official website, states that RJ was featured in ‘US Weekly’ in the January 8, 2007 issue on page 58, and was also in an issue of People magazine. He is also writing a book and if you have a photo, you can send it and it might be included in his book.

Season 2 Trenyce

Hubpages.com says that Trenyce lives in Los Angeles. She was in the musical play, ‘Love in the Nick of Tyme’ in the summer of 2007. Last summer Trenyce also starred in the play, “Invisible Life,” based on the novel by E. Lynn Harris. Trenyce has not given up on a cd, but wants it to be right. Good luck Treynce, I wish you well!

Season 3 George Huff

I don’t know anyone who didn’t love George and his great big smile. Unfortunately, I could not find any current information about him, other than that in 2007, his song "Brighter Day" was briefly featured in Tyler Perry's movie "Why Did I Get Married?" starring Janet Jackson. If anyone has anything current on George, please comment under the article or send it to me and I will gladly include it!

Season 4 Scott Savol

Scottsavol.com states that in March, 2008, Scott released a single called ‘Don’t Rush’, featuring L'il G from Silk. It is currently available on iTunes and you just might hear it on your local radio station!

Scott will also be featured on the upcoming Temptation Soundtrack, ‘Lil G from Silk, Scott Savol from American Idol and Todd Galbreath complete songs for the Stage Play Sound Track Temptation’. Keep your eyes open for this one!

Scott was in ‘The Real Meaning of Christmas’ on Dec. 12, 2007 in North Carolina. He will be in ‘Temptation’ in North Carolina on May 2, 3, and 31, 2008. If you’re in the area, check em out!

Season 5 Paris Bennnett

Paris is signed with 306 Entertainment,which her uncle owns, and who also signs her mom. Her video to ‘Ordinary Love’ was released on Yahoo on April 23, 2007. Her cd, “Princess P” was released on May 8, 2007. It reached #13 on the charts with 21, 000 US sales. Some of the songs can be heard on Paris’ myspace. In November, Paris was on the Maury show. I met Paris and she is just adorable and I wish her lots of luck!

Season 6 Chris Richardson

Chris co-wrote the track "What'cha Got 2 Lose?" on Blake Lewis' debut cd ‘Audio Day Dream’, as well as the bonus track ‘Human’ on iTunes. It is reported that he has stated that he has written songs for winner Jordin Sparks, as well as Phil Stacey, and plans on writing with Gina Glocksen.

Wikipedia says that Chris is working on his debut cd and working with producer Ivan Coralliza. Whether he is signed to a record label remains unclear.

On February 22, 2008, a new song from Chris leaked onto the internet, called ‘All Alone.’ The song is now officially available and you can hear it on iTunes.
