#On to our next list!  We are down to the Top 9 Weeks from each season.  These weeks bring us everything from Big Band season 6, Broadway Night Season 4, Elton John Night season 3, and Dolly Parton Week this season.  Do your favorite performances make the cut?
Don’t Miss the Rest:
Top 24 Performances from Semifinal Weeks
Top 12 Performances from Top 12 Weeks
Top 11 Performances from Top 11 Weeks
Top 10 Performances from Top 10 Weeks - *DISCLAIMER:  This is ONLY taking into consideration each season’s specific week of 9 contestants.  That’s it.  Season One had no top 9, they went straight from 10 to 8.*

Top 12 Performances from Top 12 Weeks
Top 11 Performances from Top 11 Weeks
Top 10 Performances from Top 10 Weeks

Season 3 really cleans up shop here, with some stellar performances from their Elton John week.  Does anyone from this season make the cut from their Dolly Week?

THE LIST: (Who is your favorite of the list?)

9. Melinda DooLittle: “I’ve Got Rhythm” (Season 6) Melinda knows how to sing the great songs of the century, that’s for sure.  She’s in her element here.
Check it out: I've Got Rhythm

8. LaToya London: “Someone Saved My Life Tonight” (Season 3) Her voice is JUST so gorgeous.  Goodness.  Her tone is so rich and her notes just sore.  I love this girl! LOVE!
Check it out: Someone Saved My Life

7. Fantasia: “There’s Something About the Way You Look Tonight” (Season 3) She started in the audience, and really brought this performance home by the time she took the stage.  I find that with Fantasia, I enjoy quite a few of her performance much more in retrospect than during the season.  I was such a big LaToya fan that I just didn’t give Fantasia enough props.
Check it out: Something About the Way You Look Tonight

6. Trenyce: “I’m Every Woman” (Season 2) This gal could really sing.  Whether or not you liked her tone was really the only question, because she could hit the high notes and really sell a performance.  This is the best performance of this song we’ve had, in my opinion.  Randy said she had pitch problems, I disagree…..but Randy always says that.
Check it out: I'm Every Woman

5. Michael Johns: “It’s All Wrong But It’s All Right” (Season 7) This was the first time I really believed Michael as a singer, as a performer, and as a legitimate artist.  I think it was the last time too, but it really was an amazing, memorable performance.
Check it out: It's All Wrong

4. Jennifer Hudson: “Circle of Life” (Season 3) Jennifer never got it all together enough to take on LaToya and Fantasia that season, but boy did this performance show signs of what was to come.  This girl and sing the lights out of things!
Check it out: Circle of Life

3. Carly Smithson: “Hear You Come Again” (Season 7) This is my favorite Carly performance of the entire season, because it was subtle, beautiful and she connected with the song emotionally.  Stellar.  The studio version is even better!
Check it out: Here You Come Again

2. George Huff: “Take Me To the Pilot” (Season 3) I adore his tone, and watching him perform just fills the coldest heart with joy.  This is one of his finest vocals and best performances, and every time I hear it I just fall in love with it more!
Check it out: Take Me to the Pilot

1.Constantine Maroulis: “My Funny Valentine” (Season 4) He may have never had a perfect vocal, but despite that, this was truly a magical vocal, and a really amazing version of this song.  I love when he surprises us with the jump and I really like the arrangement.  Might have been the only night I really liked him.

HONORABLE MENTION:
Clay Aiken: Everlasting Love
Kimberley Locke It's Raining Men
Scott Savol: Impossible Dream
Carrie Underwood: Hello Young Lovers
Vonzell Solomon: People
Nikko Smith: One Hand One Heart
Anwar Robinson: If Ever I Would Leave You
Katharine McPhee: Bringin' Out the Elvis
Jason Castro: Travelin' Thru

BEST SEASON SO FAR:
Each article I’ll continue to tally, until we find out which season really had the most dynamite performances of all!
Season 1: 8 (They went straight from 10 to 8 because they dropped 2 people)
Season 2: 6
Season 3: 11
Season 4: 10
Season 5: 14
Season 6: 5
Season 7: 12

Right now season 5 is in the lead, but seasons 7, 3, and 4 are not that far behind.  Who will come out on top in the end?
