R47S: Top 6 Performances of Top 6 Weeks: All Seasons

#472 - 1--JLynne--R47S: Top 6 Performances of Top 6 Weeks: All Seasons--2008-07-30 15:30:38

#Jumping around from the first season to the last season, this is an eclectic group of people who all have or are on their way to having decently successful careers, be it on Broadway or the charts.  Who am I talking about? - Rank for 7 Seasons

Between season one’s Big Band night, and season six’s Bon Jovi night we had quite a few amazing performances!  Only two other season’s contestant’s end up sneaking into the list.  Remember, this is the top 6 performances out of top 6 week’s only.  Only people who made it to the top 6 and sang during top 6 week are eligible, so don’t start in again on Fantasia’s “Summertime!”  I allot the number of slots for the number of contestants during that week of the finals.  Make sense?  I hope so….

THE LIST:

Top 24 Performances from Semifinal Weeks
Top 12 Performances from Top 12 Weeks
Top 11 Performances from Top 11 Weeks

Top 9 Performances from Top 9 Weeks
Top 8 Performances from Top 8 Weeks
Top 7 Performances from Top 7 Weeks

6. Tamyra Gray: “Minnie the Moocher” (Season 1): She looked absolutely adorable, and just owned the song.  She made big band look effortless, like she just stepped off a concert with Ella Fitzgerald. Amazing!
Check it out: Minnie the Moocher

5. LaKisha Jones: ‘This Aint a Love Song” (Season 6): My very favorite Lakisha performances, and one of my favorite Lakisha performances.  Chilling, amazing, soulful, lovely!
Check it out: This Aint a Love Song

4. Blake Lewis: “You Give Love a Bad Name” (Season 6) Jon Bon Jovi was a little skeptical, but Blake made this a smooth, intensely cool, and actually well sung version of this anthem.  Still one of the coolest performances on idol ever!
Check it out: You Give Love a Bad Name

3. David Cook: “Music of the Night” (Season 7) I was shocked by how awesome this was, and still love listening to it.  I did not think he’d pull off the big jump, and he made it look easy.  This guy can do everything.
Check it out: Music of the Night

2. Melinda DooLittle: “Have a Nice Day” (Season 6) Finally, she blew it out of the house and really showed us she has some versatility.  Still gives me goosebumps!
Check it out: Have a Nice Day

1.Kelly Clarkson: “Stuff Like That There” (Season 1): The opening video is adorable and she is exquisite.  She looks freaking adorable, she sings it flirty and fun.  She is just so good. Still the best big band performance we’ve ever had!
Check it out: Stuff Like That There

BEST SEASON SO FAR:
Each article I’ll continue to tally, until we find out which season really had the most dynamite performances of all! Remember, season 1 doesn’t really get a fair chance, as they don’t have a contribution for Top 12 week, Top 11 week, or Top 9 week.
Season 1: 13
Season 2: 7
Season 3: 15
Season 4: 11
Season 5: 17
Season 6: 8
Season 7: 16--comments-->2--977--5
