#With a CD as good as "Why Wait", why is Kristy floundering, and floundering badly? - When I go to restaurants, I always ask "What do you have that is not on the menu?" The waiter then drivels off several items . I always wondered why they don't have them on the menu. They are usually the best things to eat. Well it appears the same thing has happened to Kristy Lee with a minor exception; No one seems to know she is even off the menu.
This filet mignon CD is being virtually ignored. What a damn shame! I have listend to both of our Country stations here in Atlanta to see if "15 Minutes...." is getting any air. So far the answer is a resounding NO! I have not heard it once and I just don't get it. I can't be that stupid.......can I? Is the Idol negativity that strong against Kristy Lee? What a true, true waste of a great talent and a great CD.
Why did Arista even bother signing Kristy in the first place? If they can't get a great country tune like "15 Minutes.." on the air it's freaking hopeless. And if the rumors are true about this CD being done in 4 days, I'll ask to get mine done in 3. Songs on this CD like "I think Too Much", "Baby Believe", "Why Wait", "Homesick" and "Cowgirls" are great, great tunes never mind just Country. The more I hear this CD the more I can't beleive the radio is ignoring it.
The only thing I can come up with is that Arista needs a tax write off. But wait, I thought the music industry is hurting. And that leads me to this. The reason they are hurting so much is they deserve to because they refuse, for what ever reason, to put just some decent promotion behind great music.
Dudes and dudettes come on! Check this CD out and call your local Country stations (yes I already did) and breathe some life into this corpse. For if you don't, we will all continue to get force fed the same cookie cutter tripe they've been shoving down our throats for the last 15 years.
I'm just wondering how David Cook's CD will fair. I know there is no way it will have as many great tunes as Kristy's. I'll review it and we'll see.
